Biden For President

The former U.S. Senator from Delaware and current Vice President, Joe Biden, is a very possible candidate for the 2016 presidential election. Biden has run twice for presidency, in 1988 and 2008. Both times he withdrew from the campaign for different reasons. Biden hasn’t given any indications of whether he is running, and according to Politico in a CNN interview on February 7, 2014, he said, “There’s no obvious reason for me to think why I should not run.” His final decision was supposed to be around early September, but a conclusion has not been reached. As Biden continues to contemplate his candidacy, according to Newsweek’s most recent poll, he ranks at the very top of the democratic candidates.

In spite of all of his aspirations, Biden has been facing heartbreaking dilemmas these past few months due to the death of his eldest son. His other son has also recently been discharged from the military after testing positive for cocaine.  As he mourns over the loss of his son, his aspirations for candidacy continue on account of his son’s final wish, for his father to run once again.

As his long anticipated decision awaits, Biden receives the utmost respect from people across America. His presence has become more ubiquitous, as he is favored in the polls as more moderate and trustworthy than his two potential opponents. According to a different poll measured by the Quinnipiac University and released on Sept. 24, 2015, 50% of people favor him as president. This gives him the most positive poll among current candidates.  The race for presidency continues as Americans everywhere look forward to Biden’s final decision.
