There comes a time when that certain magic of Walkathon fades…however, the excitement never does. Complete with a shiny new video and a live performance from not only the Student Council, but also Mr. Aringo and Nico Valle-Umagat ’13, this year’s Walkathon started off with a bang. Can I get a “WOOO HOOO”?The Walkathon rally started of with a creative, student produced video. As always, the video included helpful instructions (by Joseph Nazzal ‘13 this year) on how to set up a Givezooks account and donate online.
Props to the Student Council and Big Green for creating and producing the videos!
Something unexpected this year, though, was the live presentation from both Mr. Aringo and Nico. “Call Me Maybe,” or rather, “Can You Donate Money”, which is sure to be the hit song of the Walkathon this year.
It turns out that Mr. Aringo rewrote the lyrics for “Call Me Maybe” all by himself; not only was he the one to create the song, it was also his idea to sing it at the rally. Looks like Mr. Aringo is getting himself more involved in the SHC community!
