Adrian Peterson: Back From The “Dead”

It’s been a whole year since Adrian Peterson, starting running back for the Minnesota Vikings, has stepped onto the football field.  Peterson was suspended indefinitely from the NFL last year after physically disciplining his four-year-old son.  This was devastating news to Peterson, the NFL’s most valuable player in 2013 and consistently one of its leading rushers. Fortunately for Peterson, his suspension was decreased by 3 months.
Adrian Peterson’s first game back was, for him and all who follow the NFL, a big deal. Peterson’s 2015 debut was anything but satisfying, as he rushed for only 31 yards on 10 carries with no touchdowns in Week One’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. The Vikings’ young quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, was unaware of Peterson’s potential on the field, and decided it would be better for him to pass than to hand Peterson the ball. He turned it around in Week Two, totaling 134 yards on 29 carries and 58 receiving yards. Bridgewater seemed to entrust Peterson more with the ball, and if Peterson keeps this up, he will surely have one of his greatest seasons. In Week 3, Peterson and the Vikings are going to play San Diego, a team not really known for their defense. For this reason, Peterson will probably have a great game, as long as he doesn’t fumble or lose the ball. Week 4, the Vikings are facing the Broncos @Denver, and then the Kansas City Chiefs at home. Adrian Peterson needs to really prove his self worth if he wants to keep starting for Minnesota.
