The amazing 2011 Fightin’ Irish volleyball season came to an end Tuesday night. A hard fought NorCal Championship game between the Irish and the Cougars of Albany High School was won in 5 games by the Cougars. After loosing the first two games, the Irish showed their team strength and quickly battled back. After an intense third game, the Irish took game four 25-23, setting the stage for a 5th game. After an 11-11 tie, the Cougars earned the next four points to take the Northern California Championship title. The CCS Champion Fightin’ Irish finished the season with a spectacular 33 wins, an truly admirable accomplishment! Thanks for all the support from the student body and faculty for making this volleyball program so special.
