September 9th -15th, 2012—38th National Suicide Prevention Week. Individuals all over the U.S. last Monday, National Suicide Prevention Day, wore orange as a sign of solidarity over those struggling with suicide.
In the November/December 2008 Issue of the Emerald, Natalie Cardona ‘09, then senior, interviewed a suicide attempt survivor who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s a little chilling hearing his story, but I hope that it will provide some insight and incentive to reach out to those who may be struggling with suicide.
